My name is David Garcia Fonseca and a native of Costa Rica. I would like to introduce myself with some of my history in order for you to understand no only who I am but how my work is inspired.
I was originally born in Alajuela and raised in Heredia, which are the two largest cities in the Central Valley of Costa Rica outside of San Jose, the capital.
Upon my high school graduation, I took an interest in Biology, which became my major when I began to study at the University of Costa Rica. After spending two years in UCR, I transferred to Universidad Tecnica Nacional (CUNA) to finalize my degree. It was after my biology degree that I took further interest in graphic design, of which I am still studying and have a brief period of time left until my next degree's completion.
It is in my free time and between my studies that I take pictures thoughout my country's landscape with the idea of showing its true beauty. With my biological background and my current artistic studies, I am trying to entwine both concepts to explain and show that importance and aesthetic benefit of conserving the environment of Costa Rica.
